Weave and Rug Tufting Crafts Makers

Before we engaged in this project I thought I knew all I could about the Penistone Line due to travelling on it regularly however, I learnt so much more then I ever expected to! This project has not only been  about promoting a train line that I depend on but also about drawing in a passion of mine for teaching. Teaching such enthusiastic and welcoming students has been such a highlight to the project. The Students of Honley High School made this project what it is by there constant willingness to learn new techniques, eager enjoyment and interest in the project and bringing creative  energy to 'Craft on the Penistone Line'.

As this is a direction that I want to pursue in my career it was a valuable and beneficial experience that has pushed me even more to continue working with textiles and teaching. Furthermore, working collaboratively has taught me about how '2 heads are better than 1' and the source of inspiration can come widely with so many more people!
